Annual Boot Drive Fundraiser

How Can You Contribute:

You may make a donation by placing money inside the designated boot, whether it be spare change or any other desired amount. Alternatively, if you prefer not to carry cash, you can write a check payable to the Jamesport Firemen's Association and mail it to us at any time. 

In the event of a red light, you have the option to approach any firefighter stationed at the intersection and distribute your donation. It is not obligatory to contribute to each individual firefighter.

Location:

The collection will take place at the intersection of Main Road (Route 25) and South Jamesport Avenue. Firefighters will be positioned along the road.

Schedule:

The dates for the fundraising campaign in 2023 are currently being finalized.

Procedure:

When a red light occurs, firefighters will walk along the middle of Main Road, holding their fire boots. They will be strategically positioned from Duffy's Deli to the corner of Manor Lane and Main Road. Simply place your donation, of any amount, inside the boot. All contributions are greatly appreciated.

If you miss the opportunity to donate to one firefighter, you can contribute to the next available firefighter. Multiple firefighters will be stationed along Main Road, and there will be one or two stationed on South Jamesport Avenue to facilitate traffic flow.

Allocation of Funds:

The majority of the funds donated will be allocated towards purchasing new equipment, tools, and training programs for the firefighters. We strive to be fully prepared for any emergency situation, as our safety and the preservation of lives depend on it.

Furthermore, the funds may also be used to assist our fellow firefighters within the Fire Service community. The Fire Department operates as a cohesive and supportive family, extending help to those in need.
