At approximately 1420 hrs on Monday, January 22, 2024, the Jamesport Fire Department responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident with a reported occupant trapped in the vicinity of RG|NY on 6025 Sound Avenue, Jamesport, NY.

The incident involved a single occupant vehicle that had crossed over oncoming traffic, colliding with several trees before coming to a stop against another tree. Despite the severity of the crash, the occupant sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Jamesport Fire Department would like to highlight the importance of seatbelt usage while operating a motor vehicle and the dangers of distractions while driving. This incident serves as a reminder to all to prioritize safety on the roads.
